Born and raised in the island of Puerto Rico, I'm a Latina who carries her heritage with pride as I represent it wherever I go. Furthermore, as a first-generation college student I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, where I majored with a double concentration in Journalism and Modern Languages. In the summer of 2019 I was an intern for LHIP at Homestead National Monument of America in Nebraska. Today, almost a year after the LHIP experience, I am a bilingual reporter for both Telemundo Nebraska and News Channel Nebraska. During my free time, I enjoy reading about cultures, history and politics, a practice that has brought me closer to a better understanding of where I come from. Another of my most beloved activities is practicing Portuguese and French to improve my knowledge of these languages in order to break cultural barriers. And least but not last... I am a proudly boricua hasta en la luna.
