Dr. Eleanour Snow is a geoscientist and is the manager of youth and education programs at the U S Geological Survey. Prior to joining the federal government, she was a professor of geosciences for 25 years. She has worked for decades in diversity and equity programs within the geosciences. Among her duties today, she is the co-lead of the Interagency Working Group for Inclusion in STEM. Although her geoscience background is in structural geology and mineralogy, climate change is a field that geologists have been contributing to for decades. Geoscientists bring fundamental skills to the study of climate and have long been engaged in understanding Earth’s climate systems.
